"What I loved about Rob as my realtor ... He listens to find the house you want. He really listens to what you are saying as you are walk through houses. So if you are not sure, give him a few ideas, go for some tours and the next time you go he will be showing you houses you love. I never felt like I was one of his 100 clients. I always felt like I was his ONLY client, special, important and worth any effort. He was available for questions ... none too big or too small. I also observed that past clients would still call him to ask him realtor questions .... he is very knowledgeable and respected. I trusted him. He is not pushy, would tell me things as they were, there were no games. I always felt like he had my best interest at heart. Lastly, he is personable and conscientious about his work. He will do everything he can to find you your perfect house and he will do it without a ruffled feather. He stays calm and forward thinking even in the rough spots that come up with finding and purchasing homes. I love my home and Rob made the whole buying process comfortable and enjoyable."

Bacon

I'm going to totally divert from Real Estate for the moment as I want to talk about Bacon as odd as that may sound. I like Bacon and I tend to eat a couple pieces at least 2-3 times a week.  My store, Ingles Cashiers, NC,  carries 5-6 brands and different flavors.  Prices can vary from 3.99 a pack to 6.98 pack.  I have tried several of these brands and in the end, i have found that the most expensive brand Oscar Myer, is my favorite. It has the better taste, it peals out of the package the easiest, it cooks the easiest etc. This is all very interesting to me because I'm not sure why it does all these things better.

I tend to cook all my bacon in the microwave.  I get a paper plate, put down some paper towel, lay the bacon down, cover it with paper towel, and then cook it.  It cooks up very easily and comes off the paper towel without any problem.  The same can't be said for the other Bacon companies. I have noticed that some of the other brands have difficulties. The bacon tends to not peel away from the other piece with ease, some tend to cook way down, or it sticks to the paper towel.  The sticking to the paper towel is my biggest pet peeve. The most expensive brand never sticks to the paper towel but the cheaper brands usually do.

This got me to thinking, why does this happen?  Does the more expensive brand add some type of coating that is not added to the cheaper brands. So now, i'm going to do a little more research and start reading the back labels of the different brands to see what I can see that might be obviously different.  I will keep you posted in a follow up blog.

"I contacted Rob on December 23, 2010 to purchase a property in Sapphire, NC with the condition that we closed before December 31, 2010. Rob was amazing and handled the whole transaction, actually allowing us to close on December 30, 2010. I contacted Rob again in March and he handled another property purchase and closure for me. I viewed the property, made an offer, and closed within 6 days. I have found Rob to be professional and thoughtful in all my interactions with him--and most importantly--he truly understands what matters to me and makes sure that my needs our met. Time is a huge premium for me. Rob understands that and always goes way above and beyond to help save me time. I would (and will) continue to recommend Rob to everyone--He is an amazing ally to have in any real estate transaction."
