"We selected Rob because he came prepared with the listing forms filled out and we could tell from first meeting him that he is a professional and we would list with him. I am a speculative builder in Atlanta and over the course of my career, I have listed with many real estate professionals. I feel as though I am uniquely qualified to make this evaluation. Rob did not disappoint. He stayed in communication every step of the way and got it sold in a very tough market."

Glenville North Carolina: a Beautiful Community With a Rich History

Originally named Hamburg Township, it was settled in 1827. As with most communities, Hamburg suffered during the Civil War years but was rebuilt and by the late 1880s was a thriving community with industries such as lumbering, tanning and mining. In January of 1891 the town was renamed Glenville.

During World War II

The ALCOA (Aluminum Company of America) needed more electricity to make aluminum for the war effort. In June 1940, Nantahala Power and Light, then owned by ALCOA, constructed a dam on the Tuckasegee River and completed the project in late 1941.

Filling the New Lake

Thorpe Reservoir or Lake Glenville, encompassed the entire valley north of Cashiers, flooding the town of Glenville including schools, homes, businesses, and farmlands to a depth of 300 feet.

More Client Testimonials

"What I loved about Rob as my realtor ... He listens to find the house you want. He really listens to what you are saying as you are walk through houses. So if you are not sure, give him a few ideas, go for some tours and the next time you go he will be showing you houses you love. I never felt like I was one of his 100 clients. I always felt like I was his ONLY client, special, important and worth any effort. He was available for questions ... none too big or too small. I also observed that past clients would still call him to ask him realtor questions .... he is very knowledgeable and respected. I trusted him. He is not pushy, would tell me things as they were, there were no games. I always felt like he had my best interest at heart. Lastly, he is personable and conscientious about his work. He will do everything he can to find you your perfect house and he will do it without a ruffled feather. He stays calm and forward thinking even in the rough spots that come up with finding and purchasing homes. I love my home and Rob made the whole buying process comfortable and enjoyable."
